Hi All...i New

[Platy~boi~27]

hi everybody i just got a waterhome 5 gallon starter kit. I now have a plant and 3 platies.
i need some suggestions fast! They grow up to 3" so am i soon to be over stocked?? What else can i put in with them?

one other question...the small yellow and red platy in the last pic (click the blue) Does ANYONE know what kind of platy it is? It was in a tank labeled "salt and pepper platies" but it doesn't look like one.

yes a 5 gallon is way to small for 3 platties they will keep havin fry every month.
how long have you had the tank and have you cycled it?

They both look to be mickey mouse platies by their markings (look sideways). They're so cute. I know it's not ideal, but I think 3 platies in a 5 gallon should be fine, by over-filtering or regular water changes or both.

EDIT: What are the sexes of your platies?

thanks, ok, The blue mickey mouse (Booboo) and the red and yellow one (it's in the last pic you gotta click on it) are both male

The red and white mickey is a female. i noticed AFTER i bought them OOPS

the red and yellow one in the middle, what kind of fish is it? it was in a tank labelled "salt and Pepper platys" but it doesn't look like one.
