I have had 13 Black Phantoms & 12 Neons dissappear completely in the last 2 months. I have a large Honey Gourami which is a total bully, chasing all other fish 24 hours a day & 2 huge wood shrimps. I suspect these to be the culprits but where are the bodies?? They have just vanished! Help!!

Look in your filter..maybe they got sucked in.

Did a 50% water change & clean out today as got a few new fish & nothing in there either. Fish just vanished. Thanks tho.

My neons decomposed really quickly after they died. The only corps I found was half decomposed and hanging out of the filter. And my BN hadn't moved from her rock crevasse in the few hours it unfolded.

They died of fin rot.

That doesn't sound like honey gourami behaviour. Can you post a photo to check the ID? Sometimes dwarf or thick lipped gourami are mislabelled at the shop.

Thanks for all the advice & ideas. The male Honey is around 4-5 inches long & much bigger than anything else in the tank, which is 192 litres. All other fish are peaceful however the male Dwarfs are starting to stand up to him & bite back. I stripped the tank bare the other day to see what was missing & 13 Black Phantoms, 12 Neons & the 2 small Sword tail males are all gone. Also the 2 large wood shrimp have 3 young which are already almost the same size in a very short time since I last emptied the decor. I do a 20 - 30% water change every Saturday & wash the filters in the old tank water. Had the tank for around 6 months & not had any issues until now. Will post photos.

Do you think it's him who is killing all the small fish or could it be the large wood shrimps? Also what should I do? Thanks.
