Hi, Advice On Modern Tank Please

Women with no taste! My favourite.

My 'Display tank in my front room' is, as I said, some crabby old 100L clearseal thing on a manky old black metal stand...as fluttermoth said, I don't think I've spent that much on all my tanks AND filters AND heaters and probably fish and plants too!

I guess I might expect to spend up in many hundreds of pounds if I was trying to buy something monster-sized or custom, but for something 'average' sized it seems an astronomical amount of money - probably would be cheaper to buy a plain old tank and get someone to build a custom cabinet for you!

Got to agree with the last statement, you would get change from 400quid for my entire set up, tank, filter the lot. Including fish etc.

Especially when you take into account it was a brand new custom tank. With an ebay tank your looking at a lot less.

My daughter's set up all in was less than £50 thats a 36X18X15 with lights, heater etc.

Tizer I was recommending the rio as the subject was for a "modern" tank.. So I'm confused... they either want a modern tank or one with an old fashioned cabinet/surround...
