Hhhmmm.....what To Do?

I haven't really got anything unusual but you could try the following:

Tanganikyan set up with shelldwellers.
Puffer tank, as already suggested.
Peacock Gobies.
Pair of Apistogrammas.

If you like Galaxy Rasboras, then it may be worth setting it up as a breeding tank for them.

I do like the look of the Peacock Gobies and I've always loved the little Galaxy Rasboras.

i recently got some badis (scarlettes yesterday) and they have such great little characters, so curious just like bettas, was funny watching them meet my 2 plecos they slowly swam toward them, then darted in the opposite direction

Wow they are soo cute....you can get blue ones too but I think I like the Scarlette ones better. Don't think I've every seen those in any shops before though but maybe they were there and just didn't notice.

Peacock Gobies are stunning fish and it would also be an interesting one to breed.

I've suddenly realised that I'm obsessed with breeding fish!

Yeah i liked the scarlettes better but they are a little more expensive, i got mine off a member on here and she has blues for sale aswell at £3 (males and females) let me know if your interested :good:

I think you should give it to me and in it's place I can give you a 60 gallon cube shaped tank (Ideal for the corner you have!) and you can then take on the angels that currently are taking over my fighters fish tank stand(The tank I'm on about isn't the one the angels are in atm obviously, it used to house a jack dempsy and then a wild festae thing that was imported, a friend no longer needs the tank you see)! You can add in other bits and bobs to it.. brand new filtration system, wood.. plants.. I can even have it delivered to you! Go on, free me of the random things that I accumulate and don't have room to use or house, lol!

What about diffrent species of betta like Betta coccina or the mouth brooding types I cant remember the names of

Considered this idea, but not that keen on other types of bettas. Egyptian mouth brooders could be what you're thinking of?

Maddie - 2ft x 2ft wont fit in:( :(

Lilfishie - Will deffo keep your offer in mind :good: Do like those lilfishies :)

Have thought of different types of Bettas but I think we want something completely different. Bronze has popped out to PC World but I suspect he is taking a detour to the lfs too, cos he should of been back by now

We're going to have a look at Marines first and then if that's not an option then the Badis and Peacock Gobies are at the top of the list so far.

I'm home lol

Only went to check the prices dear lol

why dont you try some live bearers or something?
african clawed frogs arent fish but they have so much character and they look like little grimlins when they use their hands to eat their food, but not the dwarf kind the normal kind! i have three of them they are a joy.
at night they will also sing you a song if kept happy.
the white ones are the ones that are most common around here.

Hello

I'm not really intending purposely breeding anything else. The bettas take up enough time  I really dont like frogs though

So, what am i going to do?.......

I can now probably fit a 26 gallon tank in, so I have decided to look into a marine set-up. Gonna go have a look in lfs tomorrow and look at the choices of set-up. If I dont do the marine thing, i'm going for a nice, pleasant and un-aggressive community, which will definately have Badis in it.

If you're going for a small community (freshwater) try and get your hands on some of the dwarf rainbows. They are (mostly) Australian natives. Iriatherina werneri, Pseudomugil gertrudae and P. furcatus (threadfin rainbow, spotted blue-eye and forktail blue-eye respectively) are beautiful little fish that will do well in any freshwater community minus large and aggressive fish. Psuedomugil signifer (pacific blue eye) probably isn't really an option, as it grows a little larger, is rather pugnacious and really a light brackish fish.

Looks like we've finally decided. Bronze is going to set up a Marine tank and I'm setting up a Dwarf Puffer tank. Will still continue with the Bettas and breeding them of course  but wanted something a little different too to break things ups abit and expand our knowledge (well as much as my brain can be expanded)
