Just started my first real fish tank beyond the occasional goldfish in a bowl. Nothing crazy just a 37gal fresh water. Tank has been going for about a month now and things pretty calm now. Had some stumbles over water quality, crappy heater, filter maintenance and over feeding (I have an Italian wife who thought they always looked hungry).
I have some platys, various tetras, 2 gourami, 1 dwarf gourami, 2 fancy guppies that won't die (those last two are tuff), 2 ghost shrimp, cory cats, and a pleco. Yes I know now I may have some issues as the fish mature but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
So I'm learning, reading a lot, researching on line and a little trial and error. Sold my bike so this my new obsession to bide my time and my little son really likes them a lot. Had a couple good bike forums that were helpful after you learned the lay of the land so hopefully this will be the same experience.
So that's it in a nutshell.....
