Hey new and need guidence

This is my first post ! ! !

I am really interested in puffas and really would love to get some, have got a 3ft tank which has nothing in it at all at the moment (not even water) And want to know how to go about setting it up for them, and the things i will need to keep them, ie all equiptment ectect.

Is there a differnce between freshwater and marine? ?

I hope someone can help.

I don't know anything about puffers other than they look weird!

There is a big difference between freshwater and marine. Have a good read/search around this site and you will find lots of good info to get you started. There is a marine section too.

yeah like they said check the oddballs for info on puffers, as far as freshwater and marine, there's a big difference, there's freshwater (no salt), brackish water (some salt), and marine (salt water) and all three of these have a type of puffer that can live in that type of water, some puffers even start in one area (such as brackish or fresh) and when they mature end up needing a marine tank, but as far as which types of puffers are for which type of water check the pinned forum on freshwater and brackish water puffers in the oddball section, another good website for puffer discussion is: www.#### hope that helps
