Hey angel lover!! You and I are very much alike in our fishy endeavours. We both have spawning angels who occasionally rough each other up, and we've both recently ventured into more aggressive SA cichlids because we found ones that needed saving!
Chester Bertuzzi looked pretty good this morning! I changed about 1.5 gallons of water this morning, just to let him know I love him before I left for work.
He's swimming around a lot more (as much as it's possible for a fish that size to swim in a tank that small) and he's looking altogether more alert.
He's probably getting hungry. I have offered him a few things, but he hasn't seemed at all interested, so I removed the food from his tank so as not to foul the water. I will hit the lfs after work today to pick up some live ghost shrimp, as smb suggested it and it seems like a good idea. I contemplated giving him one of the goldfish that were in his tank when I got him, but Jenica threatened to start crying, so I put goldie back in the garbage can with his buddies.
I haven't had a chance to take them to my neighbour's pond yet, so they're still swimming around in about 20 gallons of water in the bottom of a rubbermaid garbage can! I'm off work tomorrow, so the goldfish will be dealt with then. They seem perfectly happy in the garbage can for the moment. I even did a water change for them last night.
You think Chester is happy I came and got the tank, how do you think those goldfish feel?
They were going to be eaten alive, and now they're going to live life in a pond! Talk about a step up in the world.
Hope your computer gets fixed soon, angel lover. In the meantime, keep coming to visit so we can share saved cichlid adventures!
