This morning i woke up and turned all my tanks lights on to find Brom belly up at the bottom of his tank with Wiggy the ADF hiding underneath him. It was very sudden, but i suppose he was an old boy when i got him and aside from him being slightly bloated i think i can safely assume it was just his time.
At least i can take comfort from the fact that i gave him a good life for the 3 months i had him, his fins had re grown from the stumps he had and he was feisty and healthy.
I don't think i'll be replacing him, i'l put the 5gal to good use.

R.I.P Brom

you gave him a new lease of life when you had him from the sounds of it. Sorry to hear about him.

RIP

He was my mothers favourite fish. She was upset about it, it felt so wierd coming home from college and seeing my other 3 boys all happy and waggly and then looking over to see him and him not being there. Just little wiggy the ADF left in there at the moment, may turn it into a phoenix endler/ guppy set-up to make mum happy. She loves the colours, in all honesty i keep that tank how she likes it as she let me have my Room customised to hold my 5 tanks. I'll miss the tough old guy.

I am so sorry for your and your mom's loss and it sounds like he had a good life with you and your mom

So sorry to hear this, atleast you gave him the best part of life at the end! I hope you and your mum are ok and i send my best wishes to you both xx Rip lovely boy :(

Sorry for your lose. I just lost a betta yesterday :( I really miss him but we can take comfort in the fact we gave them great lives in nice big tanks :)

Yea his 5gal was his castle, it's wierd how my mum was upset, shes kind of a strong woman type if you know what i mean. I think it's because her last baby i.e me is almost ready to fly the nest

It really does, at least my other 3 boys are ok, but i dont think i'll be buying any more bettas anytime soon.
