He's Gone :(

I went to work at 6am and checked on the fish tank before I left as I always do, everything was fine, Freddie was swimming around, looked fine, no white spots, no sign of disease etc, checked my levels in the tank everything as it should be and I came home half an hour ago to find freddie lying on his side at the bottom of the tank with a white film over his face (nowhere else, just his face) and his eyes didn't even look like eyes anymore, they were grey and had the film over them, i've tried to get pics of the film but they haven't turned out too well. If you need to see them to determine what it was then I'll post them anyway.

What happened to him? He was fine at 6am, not a thing wrong with him, eating, swimming normally, doing everything he should have been doing.

Difficult to say without pics but the film could have been post-mortem fungusing of the body? This can take hold pretty quick sometimes.
