Here are some pics of H. appendiculatum fry one day free swimming. The male insisted on try to tend the eggs himself and was not doing a very good job so I pulled the spawning slate and hatched them myself.
The blue tint is the remnants of the methylene blue used to keep the eggs from fungusing.
The pics are not the greatest. Due to the fry still being in the hatching container all the shots were taken from overhead. In a few days they will be moved to a 2.5 gallon fry tank........
