Hermiy Crabs

Hi today I bought a group of hermit crabs but one of them was a bit different to the rest. After a bit of research it says it's a common hermit, but it has an enormous left claw. Is this bad? The research I found says it may be able catch crabs and fish I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these left claw hermits. Thx.

No its normal for hermits to have one claw bigger then the other. They use it to defend themselves if there ever in a fight. Is this what your crab looks like?

Thx, yeah it's very similar but different colours. He is a lot bigger than the others aswell plus none of the others have a claw remotely like him. I will take a photo as soon as he comes back out, I am only asking as last night I seen him chase another smaller one the full length of tank (man they can move). He never got it but I was a bit concerned.
