Hi all
As of late I have been finding what I can only call small Dragon flies sitting in the tank! No idea where they have come from. Anyone got any ideas? I have not put any new plants in the tank or anything new.

When I open the top they just sit on the filter top and look at me. Seem to stay away from the water.

Hmmm. If I'm not careful and don't have a lot of current, I have actually had mosquitos lay eggs in my 8g, which is an open top, and in my 36g, which is partly open. Mosquitos are a part of life in Miami, FL during the Summer months. Fortunately, few if any of the larvae survive, they are promptly gobbled up by my tanks' occupants. Cherry barbs can be particularly vicious, and don't get me started on my angelfish in my 36g! They are pure monsters! :shout:

Free food for them.

No problem - I wasn't at all meaning to criticize your answer, as I have no knowledge at all of what hatchets can do. Archers came to my mind so I mentioned it. I really don't consider myself an expert at anything - whenever I assume anything I'm most often wrong!
