i am due to be moving house on 15th march so will need to move my tank. im only moving 5 mins away so it shouldn,t be too hard.

i know what to do with the fish etc but where do i put the water? i know you can buy containers for water but where from? anyone got any ideas how much. my tank holds approx 96litres.

also when moving tank can i re-aarenge plants etc? im so fed up with pklants at moment and would like to start again but with same tank and fish.

any comments appreciated. cheers guys!

i thought about taking the water to limit the time that the water had to settle in tank.

i also dont really wanna the risk of tank cycling again. its a shame i have to move it as its running good at moment!

I would keep say 70% of your old water in some buckets, then when you top it up at your new pad it will be just like a water change!

Too much of a change in smallish tank would be a shock for the fish I think.

I recently moved house with my 260l tank. I dumped ALL my old water out. Just use new water, thats the best way me thinks... Ive also moved 2 of my dads tanks, a 60l and a 125l both with 100% water changes. All was fine, no casualties reported - SIR! Lets face it, you dont move house everyweek!
