Here I go again 150 gallon reset.

Mother has alot to answer for...

My dad, bless him, had the chance to be posted to either Mauritius or NZ with the prison service. Mother threw a tantrum "We're not going to move to another bleeping island!!!" We had just moved off the Isle of Wight (where I was hatched).

We moved to Brixton instead.

Oz & NZ were the only places that I never managed to get to when I had my cruise ship obsession. Mainly due to it being way out of my affordability.

Come to New Zealand you will love it

You Know how sometimes you look at something and then don't see what is going on. Well the largest of the Hygrophila siamensis have sent down aerial roots to the floor of the tank. The roots have come from the nodes right on the surface of the tank. Plants are really clever. These two photos show them if you use your imagination :)

I love keeping fish, you never know what you are going to discover next. I Thought these plants were going to flower and all the time they have been securing themselves to the base. Wow Wow

Wish Hygrophilia would grow like that in my tanks.
Looking good 👍 does leaving it to grow that high not effect the lower leaves of the plant?

P.s Anymore black skirt babies found under the skyscaper H. siamensis 🤣

Have just got six baby Black Phantoms that I know of, but I am feeding egg yolk daily just in case. The leaves of the Hygrophila have almost all gone under the water.

Brixton, Mauritius or New Zealand? Unlucky! I wouldn’t have chosen Brixton if it had been Brixton, Pentonville or Wormwood Scrubs to be perfectly honest.

Beautiful tank, I only wish. Are you worried about algae build since is next to a window or could it actually help plant growth?
