How's your bubble rate now?

llj

there are loads of tiny bubbles coming out and are too small to see and there coming out fast

What are the fish doing? If you're worried run an air pump tonight, then watch them all day tomo to see what happens. If the gasp at the surface then you've got to much CO2. Do you have a drop checker?

Sam

nope no drop checker all i was told was you need about 30 bubbles each minite. so do you think i should run a air pump or should i tighten the air hose so not as much comes out
thanks

This is exactly why i went with a fully pressurized system.

They have some pretty cheap pressurized systems out there.. with little paintball tanks and regulators and such for like 100$ or so. Depending where you live i guess, i just went all out and got the whole 400$+ system... cause i didnt wanna mess around. Mines been doing 6 months and it's not even close to empy i dont think...

Unplugg it from the airstone and record how much complete bubbles are coming out each second

frozen barbs right disconnect it from the airstone.
count how many bubbles there are in 30 seconds then divide the nymber you get by 30 = bps..

ok will do when it starts again lol i had a leak in the system and gas was escaping out so the pressure has went back to low so no bubbles are coming out yet. thanks for the advice. in the mean time i went out and bought some plants.

i am realy happy with my tank at the momentt and cant wait until the Co2 kicks in. thanks for your help.

just took the airstone of and alot of bubbles came out. about 10 in 2 secs. so ipulled it out of the water where then there was no gas left in the bottle to push out. how can i stop this hapening sp fast. i have put the airstone back on as that only has very tiny bubbles and not many get out. i tried gettig abubble ladder today but none of the 2 lfs had them in.
thanks for you help. any sudgestions please

Umm you have to do REsearch on the plants.. Remove the lead and cotton from the bottom of the plant. The java ferns Rhizomes are surpose to be above ground. The Anubias plant with the long stalks and thick leaves rhizomes are surpose to be above ground and tied to wood or rock like the java fern... or they will die http://www.tropica.com/productcard_1.asp?id=008

The red and green plant in there is not aquatic and WILL DIE take it out. THe green and white PLANT WILL DIE take it out

The two plants on your LEFT are non aquatic and WILL DIE

http://www.plantgeek.net/plantguide_list.php?category=11 here a good non aquatic list

so if i put that red plant in a pot of soil will it grow and the on with green leaves and white on. thanks

They are marsh plants and need high humdity. there are 4 counts of non aquatic in your tank. if you just put them in a pot they would shriive up

are the plants on the top aquatic. i hope they are i realy like them. next time i am going to reasearch on the plants before i just go out and buy them
thanks for the replies

The one on top is the most aquatic plant there is in that tank It is a true aquatic plant. Yea it looks really nice . try to make a forest with them
