After Coral passed this week ( :( ), I decided to move Seamore into her old tank because it is bigger than his old tank. His new tank has a small piece of coral in it, which his old tank did not have. He seems to be adjusting, but he doesn't seem quite as comfortable yet. How can I help him feel more comfortable?

Sorry, I meant to specify that. It's not live coral, just a small piece that I bought from Wal-Mart. Don't know where my brain is sometimes. :fun:

Dead coral is alkalic and it will affect the acid-alkaline balance or pH of the water, causing the pH level to go beyond 7.

Lower pH in the range of 6.5 to 6.8 is preferred for bettas.
