Hi im new here!!
Here is my problem,
My tank is about 3 foot with 14 small fishes ,ive had it for about three yrs and its doing fine untill recently.
Ive started to get this horrible flourecent green slime in the tank which sticks to everything!! Ive cleaned the slime off and changed 2 thirds of the water quite a few times these past months but it still comes back!!
Should i compleatly emty and clean tha tank?
I leave the light on for about 7 hrs a day and the tank is not in a sunny place.
Help!!!

Green algae is actually a sign of a healthy, established tank, although your nitrates are probably high. Have you tested your water parameters lately? How often do you do water changes? (10% once a week is recommended.) I would also suggest getting a bunch of anacharis, java moss, and hornwort in there. That should use up all of the excess nutrients in the water.
