I just got home and look inside my fish tank and i saw this tiny brown thing about a centimeter in size and it looks like it might be a snail and im not really good with snails but i knwo that there are bad ones and there are good ones.So can someone help me and assist me what i should do

Do you have live plants? if so it probably hitched a ride in on a plant just take it out if you dont want it in there take your net and take it out

What size is your tank? If it is big enough, you could buy a fish that will munch on the snail - chances are that if you have one snail you're bound to have about a million more appear. Have you just introduced a new plant to your tank? That's usually where they come from!
Anyway, a very good snail-eating fish is a clown loach - however, they grow to maximum 12" so you must have a BIG tank to keep them, also as they prefer to be kept in small groups. But there are other fish that will happily eat snails too, just ask at your LFS.
If you want to skip the fish idea altogether, then there are plenty of water treatments that your LFS will stock that you just add to your water and it gets rid of the snails. It won't do your betta any harm either!
Hope I have been a bit of help! :)

P.S - I just noticed that you have them little smiley fish swimming in your sig - how do you do it??? I want them in my sig!! :(
