hi there
Could anyone help me, im wondering if fish can have to much air, we have 2 pumps in the tank and a undergravel pump, is this ok? fish are acting very strange, and i dont know why. we have had a death in the tank today so it could be that.

Yes you can have too much, this can lead to gas bubble disease.
If you are concerned the reduce the amount.

how do you know if you are giving them to much air, do they have symptoms, as i say fish are acting strange, and one has died.

Typical signs of gas bubble disease are
visible air bubbles in the eyes, gills and sometimes in the skin. This problem can be detected by measuring total dissolved gases (DO, nitrogen, argon, dissolved carbon dioxide etc.) though the equipment required is expensive.

This is a rare problem, however I felt it needed telling.

thanks,
but they seen to to be healthy enough, must just be the weather. lol thanks foe fast reply
