The platies are easy to sex, but I can't see the photos clearly enough. Look at the anal fin, that's the one on the underside right in front of the tail. If it is shaped like a fan the platy is female. If it is rod shaped, the platy is male.

I can't tell the difference with zebra danios though.

I had to move the platy that was attacking the other-it is in a fish tank that is much too small for it but we will b ordering a new one in the next few days-does it need another fish in with it and if so how many? Thanks again
