why dose my betta look like it is growing mold on it or losing coler and scales

Cos it's very sick by the sound of it. Can you post pictures so that we can maybe try to pin down what the problem is and advise appropriately?
We'd also need to know more about your set-up - tank size and equipment, any tank mates, how long you've had the fish, what you feed and how often, whether the tank was cycled before you added your betta, how often you do water changes and last but not least what are your water test results?

@LILmollyBri, shine a light on your beta, the phone flashlight app works very well for this.  If you see flecks and spots of gold or white that are a bit raised from the scales, then you have a problem.  However, if you don't see those monitor the beta for redness around the gills or anal fins (belly), check the water chemistry (get some test strips or bring the water to your local fish shop), and check the temperature.  Many beta's can actually change their color to blend in better.  This is more common in females and since you didn't state the gender of your beta it's hard to say.

as Mamashack said, pictures are worth a thousand words, especially when diagnosing a sick fish.

As well as the above questions what is the temperature of the tank? Do you have a heater?

do yall know what was wrong and do you think maybe 2 girl bettas could live ther together any tips

it was a male

As I mentioned on your other thread about female bettas in a 10 gal tank.

"If housed together, females must be kept in groups of four or more in an appropriately sized tank (ten gallons or larger) that has a lot of plants (silk or live) and a lot of hiding places. Keeping more than four female bettas together helps diffuse the aggression."

Gold spots would indicate Velvet, a parasitic infection.
