Help!

I just got a female betta for my birthday form a friend.

I am debating puting her in my 37 gallon tank.

currently has 6 neon tetras 5 black neon tetras 2 female and 2 male guppies, 2 corys, 1 pleco, 4 ghost shrimp 1 cherry shrimp.

Good idea or bad idea? the neon tetras are about as big as the betta.

I also have a 10 gallon live planted tnak which has rock caves in it...... could I put her in there?

My male betta currently has his own 1 gallon filtered tank.

i think that if you got 1-3 more black neons then you could put her in there

What is your reasoning for putting 1-3 more black neons in there?

usually in anything less than 6 they start to get nippy and with a betta in there, then that could be a problem

My main concern is the guppies. Will the female betta hurt the male guppies?

i dont think that youll have a problem with the guppies, unless they are the ones with really long fins and multiple colors, as in my experience most bettas will not go after guppies with a tail that is a solid color, and has a tail that is less than a 3rd of an inch

yeah, i wouldnt try the female out in that tank. i would just put her in the 10 gal if i were you

One more question.

Male bettas need certain plants that wont damage there fins and such do females need the same care?

yeah, all bettas do better with softer plants

So cave rocks are a bad idea then? My planted tank has cave rocks

if it ca harm the betta, then i wouldnt do it. if i were you any sharp edges are a no no
