he said there separated :D
But Dan C, do you mean youve seperated them because the fish was looking unwell and not eating? Or do they live seperately anyway, as i meant what tankmates does the fish have living with it if any. Or is he in the tank but divided off lol?

is ok he has a divider in the tank is on his own. just looking at the mo to get a tank of his own. just needed enough cash. :good:

Its fine if he has a divider :good: Hmm, what could be the problem? Have you added anything new to the tank in his divided section? Do the other fish come upto the divider and annoy him? If so it may be better getting him his own tank of 20L min, but you could put plants up against the divider so its harder for the other fish to annoy him.

has he any problems with his face or any ripped ragged fins?? i ask as rude mine has lost his colour too but has these symptoms as well x

he keps getting fin rot which i treat then it goes away then comes back. i do regular water changes. so not sure why he keepes getting it

How long have you had him? Maybe he is growing old?

Yep age is definantly a factor to consider. Ive noticed my boy Nightlight is losing his colour. He is nearlly two years old so i suspect he is in fact three because he wasnt a baby when i got him from the shop.

This was my boy when i got him..

But today he is all pale and goes through days where he is full of colour and some days where he is pasty. Otherwise he is prefectly healthy.

id say keep up with the water changes, keep an eye on his food and go from there. How old is he? Is your tank slightly over crowded?
