I bought a playsand as recomended states it has been rinsed and cleaned then dry sived.

I have put it in the bottom of my tank added around 200l of water so far and the water is really merky :(

Will this clear? Or am i going to need to empty it?

I dont want to add the final 500l to the 200l thats in there if its not going to clear up.
Obviously wont be adding any fish for 8 weeks.

Just want to get it right any help would be much appreciated.

it will clear up mate dont worry about it :good:

would have been better to rinse it again first though but it will be ok now its in the tank just add some more water and it should settle overnight

Brill issue is untill i get the fluval fx5 i only have a fluval 3+ to help with it.
Also if i add too much water the filter in there will end up useless anyway wish me luck:)

Going for 700l tropical and 60l marine lol

Ryan.

you still need to extensivly wash it with hot water until the water runs clear

if you put filter floss/water polishing pads in your filter it will clear it up but you will need to clean them alot just keep filling it up moving the sand about and the same time empty it untill it clear or nearly clear

As the fx5 comes with 3 foam filters and replacements arnt to expensive should i use it to catch the "dust", just keep rinsing them and put the new ones and media in once cleared up?
