Help!

They do have it. I have gotten it several times from them.
Ok, i'll give it a look.
If you have trouble finding something... they have a search box on the top left (I think) where you can type the name in, and it will find it for you.
Another idea is to mix your carbon with white diamond. That is what I do. (When I use carbon) I don't use carbon much. I only put it in to remove meds or when I have an issue with the water.
I normally don't use carbon either. i happened to have it because it comes with the filters (thank goodness).

When you do decide to go to tap... You need to do it slowly. Mix it at first to let them get used to it very slowly. I would do it with very tiny daily water changes to let it come up slowly. (instead of bigger weekly water changes)
Eh, i don't mind buying spring water for them. i've figured out an easy way to heat the 2.5gallons i buy. I have a bad feeling about this tap water, which may be as high as 8.8. it's hard to tell with color cards. i need to do some research.

I may have an idea.
what's your idea?

Did you get the ph test?
I figure i can just go to the lfs for that.

again, thanks so much for your help. you've been a life saver...for my head at least.

If you are ok with buying water... then I guess that is fine.
I was wondering if you have any live plants or drift wood in there.
You know live plants use the amonia as food... :shifty: and drift wood tends to lower the ph. If you planted the tank... it could help several things.

Also I wanted to see if you had any rocks in there that could be leaching something into the water. (or any other decor)

Just trying to find the problem. :good:

I know the panick feeling well. My fish are my babies.
I am really glad to help any time I can.

I bought a bunch of new plants when i set this tank up, they've all died accept the two i had from my old apt. I'll pick up some plants tomorrow as well.

i have drift wood but haven't put any in this tank. it's all stored right now.

well, that's why i pulled the buddha...such a bummer. we'll see. maybe taking that out, changing the carbon, and adding some biospira will do the trick!

well, you're definately a sherlock holmes and have left no stone unturned lol. i hope to send you e-flowers in thanks in a coupole of weeks! i'm praying.

kay, think it's time i had some dinner. thanks again and i'll keep you updated. :)

I just hope it works. You could try adding extra bio sponges in the filter if you have the room. That might give you a little more to get them started. You can never get too much bio material. (IMO)
Good luck. :good:

If you want me, and I am not in the right place... just send me a message. I will be glad to talk to you or help any time.
