I have green algae every where. They're on my plants. On my bogwood. And I'm still cycling my tank. I don't want to use any chemicals because I've got a whole bunch of snails. Big and small. All I could do is wipe it off the glass. But what about the plants?

gently rub the leaves between your thumb and finger till the algae is off. You can scrub the bogwood. =]

youll have 2 move the snails 2 anther tank then use chemicals after a while put the snails bac in

I have suffered from brown hair algae which is a horror...I added extra light to the tank which worked...but also I found cleaning the glass, plants & filter pads (if safe to do so and maintenance needs doing) then performing a water change cuts it down...or you could be really lucky & it slowly disappears

Some of it is hairy. And it's covering my grass plants completely.

Occurences of algae during cycling is quite common. Lots of fluctuations going on in the tank allows quick reacting algae a foothold over plants.

Get some more plants in there if the problem persists after cycling has comleted. If there is a mass die-off of algae, do large water changes prior to adding any fish as the dead & rotting algae will release ammonia. So for now, as suggest just manual cleaning - but this is not a long term solution.
