I am getting desparate, another one of my Platies is acting different now, I think it is a he, and he just hangs around on the bottom really moving his fins very fast, and only will take a couple bites of food and he then will just not move with his fins going madly.
I had asked about the water here under this category and haven't had an answer as yet. I hope I am not being pushy but really like some ideas as to what would be the matter. The post is under "Platy, behavior"
I would greatly appreciate some help.
Thanks Joyous

he lays in a corner or some area of the tank? he only comes up for food, if there are more than 1 males in the tank and not enough females2 a male than he is being pushed out because of the other dominant males, otherwise its a BAD bacterial infection and you should treat with maracyn two or other gram negetive bacterial killers

Thanks drango91 for replying. Yes, the fish does just sit at the bottom hiding behind a plant and today is even hiding inside an ornament. I am not sure if one of the other fish is male as it holds it back fin close to the body but the upper two are visible. I know for sure the third fish is female as I can see all the fins under her. The one hiding is smaller and a different color Platy, it is a dark grey colour towards the front of it's body and lighter kind of silver towards the tail. The other two are the red color, but the female is a little lighter shade of the organge-red.
