Help!

Hi everyone,
I will be able to get a picture of my tank soon because I am having a digital camera for christmas. I would estimate that my tank can hold roughly 50 english litres but I am not sure what that is in u.s gallons.
I am getting confused with engish gallons and u.s gallons. What is the difference?

Thats only 11 uk gallons then. A tape measure would be better. Just get the length, height and width.

Yep that makes it roughly 11 UK gallons or 13 US gallons. Sites like this help to calculate the difference without doing any maths: http://www.hoptechno.com/nightcrew/sante7000/convert.cfm
That's really way too small for the amount of fish you have in there. In a 13 US gallon tank you should only really be keeping something like two goldfish maximum. Common goldfish can reach over a foot long and the Garra pingi pingi will reach about 10 inches (almost a foot). Goldfish can live as long as 20 years or more if given enough space, but they won't grow to their tank size as some people often claim. The fish's body will stop growing, but the internal organs won't so goldfish in crampt conditions will eventually die prematurely in quite some amount of pain unfortunately.
I don't mean to preach or sound like I'm patronising you, but your tank is massivley overstocked.

Sorry! :/ I mean't 50 GALLONS not litres :S
I've confused myself now

Aaaah righto. 50 gallons is obviously better than 13! But it's still not big enough for seven goldfish and a Garra pingi pingi... sorry :/.
A Garra pingi pingi will reach about 10 inches when fully grown. At which point they can sometimes become a little aggressive towards other fish.
7 goldfish and a Garra pingi pingi will need a tank of about 80-100 US gallons as Lucy mentioned, measuring something in the region of 48"x18"x24". Filtration-wise I'd be inclined to use a pair of Fluval 4+ on a tank with that many messy fish in it.

Phew! well after thinking it was 11 gallons ..to read it is 50.. well thats not so bad, it is still overstocked, but yea compared to 11 gallons! how big are the fish now?
