Help

I'm guessing that Synirr and wuvmybetta plan well and keep their costs of breeding down, but they are spending a few extra dollars to light those babies, probably. They don't have to heat them in the summer in Texas, but that is no doubt part of their planning. I'm sure that it cost Synirr money to give those babies away for shipping.

Nah, it doesn't cost me a dime since you guys pay shipping. I get the packing materials free :p. It did cost a pretty penny to raise them, though, especially since it was my first spawn and I had to buy jarring containers.

trisha1972 -- There are different schools of thought for how long you should leave the male in. Some breeders, like bettaman (I think), leave the male in for a very very long time, but I think the more common method is to leave the male in just until the fry are free swimming, which is about 2-3days after hatching. I left the male in with my spawn for a little over a week, I think.
