I've had a male Ram for about a month now, and yesterday I got a young female
at first he was really interested in her and kept displaying and following her around
this lasted about an hour, then he started pecking her abit and she got aggressive and they started ramming each other..
Then he started displaying again and she was following him around, and today he is chasing her everywhere he can and
constantly pecking at her underside, no flaring or anything but I'm confused as to what his intentions are
and what they are doing...

It sounds like he wants to mate and she's not ready. Keep a close eye on them and be prepared to separate them, as unfortunately he may well bully her to death :(

That's what I thought....She is getting enough food though because I see her eating
and she has alot of plants to hide in...
I don't have a spare tank though I'm not aloud one.

She doesn't seem too stressed at the moment, he did similar things to 3 new Agassizi cory before
chasing them around for afew days so It might be he hasn't accepted her as part of his territory yet?

It could be that, yes. You'll just have to watch them and hope for the best. If things do get worse, you can always put her in a breeding trap, if you have one, or a large margarine or ice cream tub with holes punched in it to allow the water to circulate.

Hope they settle down :)

He hasn't stopped so I did what you said not with a ice cream tub but with a fish bag (Did it before with some molly fry)
she seems ok and is eating some blood worms in there I'll let her out again in a week or 2 depending on how she look, the male is staying close to the bottom of the bag at the moment.

EDIT: The male is rubbing his body against the bag and displaying to her again, She is pecking the bag and following him, should I try Putting them back together tomorrow?

Cant keep her in a bag for too long as there will not be any fresh water circulating through. Is it possible to divide the tank using a fine mesh that allows the water through?

As long as there are plenty of hiding places she should be fine. Perhaps put some clean cups/beakers/jars into the tank to act as caves for her to hide in. You may well find that there is a lot of chasing but as soon as the smaller fish disappears from view he will no longeer chase her.

She had holes in the bag and she's out now anyway, I decieded to put the male in the bag with her to see his intentions, he didn't do anything to her in the bag just followed her when she moved, then when I
let them both out the bag they were fine together and the past few days inseparable- always following each other, they sometimes
peck each other IDK why but theres no aggression or anything anymore I think they have paired off. :)
