Help With Bottom Feeder For My 10G Tank

A snail seems like the best choice to me. Keep in mind that mystery snails get rather large and are thus big waste-producers. A nerite snail might be a better choice. I have one in my 72 gallon right now, but I used to keep it in a 10 gallon, and it cleaned it rather well. In that tank, before I got the nerite, there was a rather large (dollar bill-sized) patch of algae growing on the filter side of the glass. The nerite snail had it cleaned up within 2 days.

Do you think my betta would be ok with the snail? I know he can't eat it like he did the shrimp, just wonder about attacking the snail?

The snail will be fine with the betta I would still recommend a mystery snail, it will eat u eaten food and is easier to feed, nerite snails will need a sustainable amount of algae to feed on and won't take normal foods offered to them.

I Got a black mystery snail my lfs did not have any nerites. Ive put him in the tank but he has not moved, he has been in about 2hrs so maybe he is just getting use to everything before he comes out.

My mystery snails only come out at night. Just give them time. :)
