Help White Spot Treament

hello ive noticed my gouramis and red tailed shark have white spot so i purchased love fish anti white spot & parasite will this harm my pictus .

I have recently used JBL Punktol at full dosage and my Pictus handled it fine.

Not sure about the lovefish one. Does it not say anything about scaleless fish in the instructions?

no it doesnt so i rang custome services and there going to ring me back after geting in contact with the suppler also my fish infected have 1 or 2 spots whats the chances of them dying as ive only just got my tank set up .i have about 15 fish freshly brought within last week pr so my tanks 90 litre and 2.5ft and i did 25 % water change then added this product is there anything else i can do i read online about turning temrature up but unsure weather to and how much by help me mann please as there exspensive fish and dont want to loss any

You should be ok turning the temperature up to between 28 and 30 degrees dependent on your other species.

Once the outbreak is cured, you really need to think about why this has happened. 9 times out of 10, it is to do with stress. 90 litres is no where near big enough for the fish mentioned, even at a juvenile age so this could well be the cause.

okay i have 2 gouramis two pictus cat fish red trailed shark bristle nose plec cherry barb red eye tetras two female fighting fish what temp should i turn it up too mate

and two angle fish there all babys and i have bigger tank geting setup whilst we speak to move the ones that get big into

As long as you increase aeration at the same time (as warm water carries less oxygen), then most of those fish should be able to handle 30 degrees for the week or two it will take to clear.

But, as far as I remember, the Red Eye Tetra and the Cherry Barbs like it a little cooler than normal (towards the lower end of tropical, around 23 degrees normally), so I would move with a little caution and up it to 28 degrees at first and add the medication once you have the all clear from the suppliers.

Oh and I normally work on 5-7 days after the last spot is seen as a good point to saying that it is all clear.

hi my temp gauge on heater says 26.5 but the in water liquid heat gauge is saying 28 what should i go by ?

Maybe you should take some of those fish back. Then your tank wouldn't be overstocked and uncycled and they wouldn't get sick.

also if i clean out out the gravel dailt with wvacum sythin would this lead to the fish getting even more stressed or is it a good idea

Go by the independent thermometer, the one on the heater is not always accurate.

I would clean the gravel before you start treatment, then only do water changes if/when the instructions state to. Normally they are required when a redose is due.
