I've been wanting to get a lizard for some time, and, considering the size of my setup and difficulty to keep and personality etc. etc. I've narrowed down my search to either a Uromastyx or a Bearded Dragon. It's a tie, though; I don't know which one to choose!! Could you give your opinion? Below are pictures of them:

These are the Uromastyx:

And these are Bearded Dragons:

The nice thing about the Uromastyx is that they only eat vegetables. The beardies, on the other hand, are little less lazy, but they are insectivores. I guess it also comes down to looks, too. They're both ugly, but which one looks better?

Any opinions?

You can get different colour morphs of Bearded's, especially in the US.
I'd probably go for a Bearded Dragon ;)

That's a pretty ugly Beardie thats pictured there, most beardies are beautiful! I would for sure go with a Beardie, much more personality and they are easier to find information about them. Reptile Rooms He's an excelent forum that you should register at and ask lots of questions. Research for about a month before you get a Bearded Dragon, that way you'll know lots way before you even get it. I suggest you buy a Beardie from a Professional breeder, instead of at a pet store because pet store beardies often worms, mites, ext that can be expensive to get rid of. I suggest either www.beardiecrazy.com or www.dachiu.com for breeders. Both ship to anywhere in the US, and are inexpensive and reliable. (I've bought my two Beardies from each of them.) Their prices start from $80 Shipped! Very good deals, with good healthy dragons. Research, research research! I know you'll love Beardies, I love mine! :D

dont forget tho, beardies get pretty big
also, this isa good site for them, good colorssundial

Yea, my full grown female beardie is 20 inches. My male will get to be 24 inches. Sundial is a great place, but it can be expensive. ;)

I love bearded dragons. If it were me, I'd totally go for one of those.

Have fun with it, whichever you pick!
