Help to ID

I recently purchased my 1st plec from my LFS, he was sold as an unusually marked emperor plec that would reach 6" max, I am not sure as I think it could be another species any help to ID would be much appreciated

He's not an emperor pleco. He looks to me like a common plecostomus, but for sure he's a beautiful boy

After research, it does look like an Emperor Pleco. Pretty fish!

Do they have yellow spots? I had looked and wasn't sure if mustard spot or galaxy but not sure how to tell the difference.

I don't think it's eith of those 3. In vampires there is a solid black edge at the back/edge of each fin/tail. Form what I observe form the op's pic it looks to not have those solid black edges. It looks spotted throughout the entire fins/tail.

Much better. I still don't think it's any of the 3.
I'd check planet catfish.
