Help Single White Spot On My Synadontis

Is it possible that they burned them selves on the heater? I've had this happen with nocturnal fish and my eels. In both cases you get a white spot that is smooth....

hey, i have the same thing on my 4 year old synadontis...it appeared about a month ago on his right side just above the tail. its about 1.5cm long and 0.5cm wide. when it originally appeared there were also a few scrapes on his side in the same area so i immediately suspected he had scratched himself on his favourite log and/or burnt himself on the heater. now a month later the scrapes have healed and disappeared but the white oval spot has not and it appears slightly raised like a bubble or blister. im using melafix at the moment but am not sure if its treating the spot that still remains. what exactly did you end up doing for your fish? im glad i found someone else that has had the same mysterious mark on their synadontis... any advice would be appreciated. how are your fish now?
