Help - Sick Guppy. Can You Help?

I wouldn't touch the Ph though, playing around with it is dangerous and the guppy like harder water anyway.

Shes still struggling. Tail now completely clamped up and scales starting to come out. Dont know what disease she has. come on guys...

guppy: clamped, not eating, sitting in corner, scales sticking out a bit, looks skinny... :(

bump bump

And the tank is quite heavily planted and yes the filter media is brown. im doing 25% change a day gonna do 50% tomo morning and then re-check the results. just wierd all other fish are fine

If the scales are popping up then it looks to be dropsy. Dropsy can be caused by numerous things and only sometimes can be treated. Theres not too much known on why dropsy happens. The fish should be isolated and search for dropsy meds to pick which one to treat with.

Waterchanges should take place until there is no ammonia or nitrites.

If it comes down to it, watch her closely and if she is suffering a lot you may want to consider ending her suffering.

Picture? I think it would be best if you did a water change as soon as possible (preferably today)... and as much as possible, more than 25%

She died. Nvm. Never found the cause tho, maybe she was deformed in some way, considering ive not lost any of the 200 odd others

Query, u say do water changes until no ammonia or nitrites. My nitrites are always 0ppm (i do 30% 2X a week) but ammonia is naturally present in tap water. I always get a small reading, any ideas? My filters are kick #16#####, although i do like a full tank, #70### the 1inch per gallon rule, 100l for eg, has 12 liverbears of sorts, pair of corys, 12 cardinals, plus 4 other fish, cant remember name little 1 inch silver fish with long flashing black fins, plus shrimp, but its heavily planted shud b ok

Could it have been wasting disease? Not sure if you get dropsy at the end though.

A mature filter can handle tap water with a small amount of ammonia present... I forget the timeframe you should expect the filter to process it though... hopefully someone reading can clue us in.
