Should i get rid of my shrimp? It's really taking the biscuit now. The tetras look all healthy aswell!

Here's a pic

Hmm, I'm not sure how that can happen unless the shrimp trapped them somewhere. But usually if tetras are in danger they move swiftly and fast. Did you ever see it catch the tetras and eat it or did you just find it eating the tetras? If so, the tetra might of died before the shrimp even got to it.

Hmm, this looks rather suspicious. Can you give us the pH, GH, Ammonia, Nitrate, and Nitrite readings?

If the fish are healthy and the waters fine, all I can think of is that a fish has attacked and killed your tetras, or that Shrimp is a Long-Arm shrimp. They eat fish and soon will shed and grow larger and turn a blue colour.

What type of shrimp is that?

its bin identifed as an amano in one of several threads in the forum made by ant0 on this very subject. these mutant shrimp devore every fish they encounter!! providing of caurse they taste of alge!
