Help Selecting Pump/filter

I have a 200 Gallon tank and I currently have three Magnum 350s pumping and filtering. I would like to replace the magnums with one pump and filter system. My general plan is to run PVC pipes, say 1.5"-2" diameter, from the tank to the pump/filter which will be located in the cabinet below.

I would like to use a pump that would be whisper quiet. Also I would like a filter that is easy to clean and has a large capacity so that it does not need to be cleaned often. The solution should provide carbon filtering and well as mechanical filtering.

What would you recommend?

You should probably investigate a sump system. Also, there is a newer canister out there called an XP5 that likely has the capacity for your tank. Google will get it for you. Golds is selling around $270 I believe.
