Hi. Iv got what i think is a davidsandsi cory cat, and it has 'grown' what i can only describe as 'horns of mould' on the front on his head. I tried to get a pic of him To post on here to show you guys but i couldnt get one so i tried to get him out. I put him in a net and as i was transfering him to a jar he appeared to be dead. As i Was explaining this to my mrs he shot out of the net and swam off. When i looked for him again one of the lumps had gone. When i checked in the net i found it and took a pic of it. It appeared to be a sort of gooey slimey stuff, my mrs thought it might of been eggs but i dont think it is, although i dont have that much knowledge so she could be right.

A couple of years back two of my Corydoras sterbai had these subtle semi-transparent patches on their foreheads, I treated with Myxazin (broad range anti-bacterial, like Esha 2000) and increased water changes, the one in better condition made it.

Could it be contegeous?
Without knowing what it is the assumption would be yesIf you have a quarantine tank then use it - if not any meds used will help the healthy fish fight off the infection.
