Help Please!!

my weather loach got stuckk in my hob filter for god knows how long. this morning i woke up and found it in there. somehow, it survived, but he's in really bad condition.

he's lying on his back, his fins are not moving, his gills are barely moving, and the only action i see from him is his mouth moving.

what should i do? i dont want him to die! please help!

he's lying on his side and his gills are moving, almost like he's gasping for air.

He will be extremely stressed by this incident, just leave him quite and switch the tanks lights out, and maybe add some melafix to the tank.

Do you have anything you can cover the filter inlet with without blocking the intake of water? tights/pantyhose for example?
