Help Please

The pleco i have just got can't move properly, hardly moves at all and if it does it kind of jolts, was wondering if anyone knew why?
Also does anyone know what sort of pleco this is? I'm sure i have seen it before but just can't think of a name...
Mainly swims on his back..

It's a common bristlenose..... the swimming on back part is commonly a trait of the swim bladder not working correctly. You would be better putting the question in the tropical emergency section for members that know there illnesses and how to treat them.
