I had the same problem a while back infact my female killed the male, it would appear that a lot of the time the female just is not ready and the male is, anyway I took some advice and I added another female this took all the pressure of the single female gave the male a choice, and glad to say mine bred might be worth a try worked for me, hope this help's good luck.

I've always found it best to keep kribs as trios, and i had several spawnings from them. Unfortunately the male died a while back and i haven't seen a male in any of my lfs. Wish i'd kept a couple of the youngsters now.

Kribs dont generally ever do trios. Its 1 male to 1 female, once they pair off they will breed easily and generally beat the 2nd female to death.

What size is the tank and what sort of plants/wood/rocks etc do you have in there?

Are you sure it's fighting and not mating behaviour?
