help please before its to late

Is the tropical fish the ram a good community fish.
Does it do well with guppies,mollies,platies and siemese fighters please help before its to late.

I've never heard of anyone having any problems with rams in a community tank unless they were with certain barbs or aggro eaters and they got bullied a bit. It's a cichlid btw. :)

Thanks for your help and do rams eat flaked food.
 
They sure do. :)

You might see them spit the bigger flakes out but this isn't because they don't like it but to break it up so they can eat it. This means, like with any cichlid, that you have to keep your husbandry skills up to date and even step them up compared to to community fish. They're omnivores so feed based upon that. :)

Thanks and one more thing how can you tell when a pair of rams are ready to mate and are not fighting can someone explain the difference to me please.
Its an emergancy because i dont know if they are fighting or a pairing off.
