Help on community tanks

some small tetra neon/black neon + some corydora would be great set up for that tank. I also would add a few aquarium fog or little shrimp.

Thanx for you help Siamese Fighter05 (or Dan ) I have now got a sorting tray on my desk with loads of bits of paper in of stuff that i have printed out.
I'm going to have a look at all the fish suggested and see what i like.
I like the idea of moving fish i have already into new tank once it has cycled and settled down etc. I'd have never thought of that.

Planning on upgrading tanks eventually, but i cant say no to a freebie tank off a friend

I have good luck with Green barbs they are so pretty and active . You could have a few green barbs and maybe a some cories?

Anyone else with other ideas? itching to get tank set up and to know what sorta fish to get.
Also does anyone know of any web sites that let u type in a kind of fish and then it gives u a list of fish suitable, ie type in Neon Tetra and other fish are given in a list that will go well with neons in a community tank?

Nope, tiger barbs are too active for a 12g. You need a 30g for a shoal, as i found out.

make sure you do a fishless cycle before you buy fish!!!!!!!!!! oh and i suggest gettin one dwarf gourami. - i have one who is the first fish i ever bought and is now 2 years old and he's my little baby- and some cories. or i would suggest platies. platties are so colorful and they have a lot of personality and they're another one of my favorites! don't forget to do a fishless cycle!

lol i wont 4get the fishless cycle platyfreek, the tank has been set up since last week and its gonna stay fishless for about another week since i STILL aint decided what i want. lol
I think i'm gonne get a dwarf gourami and cories, MAYBE. Still not made mind up! lol Typical woman! lol
