im going to changeing my tank in the next month or so and i wont to take the inter filter out to start,its a jewel rio 125 tank,my first question


what would be the best external filter to go for ?

Hi Gazza I am in the same boat going to junk the juwel filter on my vision 260 I am going to try a tetratec 1200 ex filter I will post in a few weeks to let people know what there like I also have a eheim 2213+ on the vision tank and when my juwel power head failed at the beginning of this year it held up for a week until I got a new one with minimum feeding.

I bought my eheim 2213 and orderd a tetra tec filter from www.aquatics-online.co.uk they can be a bit slow but i have no problems with them i hear a lot from users of this forum who buy from www.charterhouse-aquatics.co.uk and www.1st4aquatics.com have been mentioned.

i bought the hydor prime 30 for my 48x24x24 for just under £65 inc delivery

used them before many years ago cracking filter easy to clean and self priming
comes with fliter media, floss sponge carbon.
replaced carbon with bio balls for mine
prime 10/20/30 models
cant rate them enough myself
flameing good value for money
very reliable
