Hey!!

I have a 64L tank with 6 glowlight tetras in it. The 6 glowlights were all really happy and swimming round so i decided to add some more fish to my tank today. I added 6 green neon tetras (similar to neon tetras).

When i first added them to the tank they were fine and swimming round in a big shoal with the glowlights, however after being in the tank for a few hours the green neons started to dart around the back of the tank like doing really fast lengths and now they just keep huddled togeather in a corner of the tank. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with them??

Please help.

I heard that they are not keen on bright light so have dimmed the light to make it darker for them but has made no difference.

Thanks :good:

perhaps they just arnt comfortable with the other fish.. i would give them some time to come out.. all my small fish tend to do the same for the first few days.. then they get the hang of it and i see them all over the place.. are your glolights bigger than your new tetras?

No they are both the same size :) it's just strange how when i first released them into the tank all 12 swam round in a shoal then when i turned on the night light (a dull blue light) after it went dark, the 6 new green neon tetras went a bit crazy swimming round and then huddled in a corner.

Thanks.
