Alrite folks

I have a 60litre tropical tank

The fish have got white spots on them and this is only from last night. its started with one but now more have it

Now a fish has died due to this and its spreading like mad

I have a bottle called "white spot" treatment but wanted to make sure its what they have

i dont want to loose my fish as they cost me a fair £££ an i like them :-(

Any help would be great

Also i change the water int eh tank last night 50%

Thanks

How big are the spots? Which do they resemble more closely, sherbet or sugar?

I'd say its probably white spot.

Use your white spot treatment straight away. Remember if you have carbon in your filter to take it out whilst using the medication.

What are your water stats?

PH?
Ammonia?
Nitrite?
Nitrate?

How big is the tank? and what fish are in it?

How long has the tank been set up?

edited for spelling

the tanks has been set up for 5months

I have

1x black pleque
2x Angel fish
1xred finned shark
2x gouramis
5xneons
1x snail

there is some other but i cant mind there names

Its a 60litre tank

Turn temp up to 30 and increase aeration in the tank, with the high temp and med.
Remove black carbon if you use it.
The angels and red tailed shark shouldn't be in that size tank.
Angels 25 gallons.
Red finned shark 40 gallons they are aggressive and need plenty of there own room.

Yup, the Angels and Shark (at least) need to go, I'm afraid. We need to know the rest of the fish, too.
