Help me please!

I have a Jaguar who is having trouble swimming.
He's all wobbly and finding ledges to get under because he can't seem to hold himself down.
Does anyone know what's wrong with him.
And if I can possibly fix it?

sounds like a possible swim bladder problem.. but im not sure. How old is he? size? ect? does he look injured?

I have had him for 3mo.
He's about 6" long
He doesn't look injured at all...
scales look fine...

Ok this may sound wierd but could he have swallowed a rock? And have it stuck in his swim bladder?

I've seen this posted in forums before but never attempted it myself. So take this for what its worth.

Pick him up if you can, hold him head down and try to gently shake him and /or gently rub his belly. This action may cause the rock to come out and be spit back up.. kinda like burping him I guess.

I repeat i have not done this, just read about it so its your call if you want to try it..

Ok, so no rocks...
That's not what it is. I felt his belly, nothing swollen, nothing hard.
Looked in his mouth, nothing in there but teeth.
He bit me, so now I'm bleeding ouch.
He's in a 20g hospital tank so noOne will bother him.
Any more suggestions?

LOL opps!!! I didnt think I needed to warn you about the teeth.
Hopefully someone else will come on and give you some advice I am not good with sicknesses Ive had virtually none in my tanks so I have very little experience with them.. You could also try to PM Cichlidaddict on this..

No, I knew about the teeth.
I was just to busy trying to help him to worry about them.
I don't know much about sickness either.
This is the 1st really bad sickness I have come across.
Thank you so much for your help.
Hopefully someone else might have a suggestion.
