Help Me Identify These Fish Please

sounds a little small for convicts to breed really Having not kept them tho, i can't say for definate, although im sure some other members would\could advise better there. Males are usually the larger of a pair in cichlids (for fighting i guess). maybe a difference of ages in your case.

I just did a quick google, i found Apistogramma baenschi HERE, how close do these look to your fish?

Nothing else dwarf i could find had anything remotely similar to the colouration, or general shape of the fish in your pictures.

the convicts look closer to the ones ive got than the Apistogramma baenschi

they look alot like cons but they sound too small and have had too little fry.

i guess if there small tho they mite not have a big lot of fry.


they look a lil too yellow in the photos aswell.

EDIT - are you sure there all the same fish?


the top 2 pics look different to the bottom 2.

the bottom 2 look like cons where as the top ones look yellow like i sed.

top pic has a face more like a ram or apisto (not saying they are that but its face is.)

yeah, they're all the same
the reason is the top pics were taken with flash
cept the bottom ones, i decided to shut off the flash, since the glass was reflecting

none of them are yellow, their all the same color as the first pictures
some have darker stripes though

they arent chasing my other fish, just each other

woops i read that wrong.

they will chase your fish (and eat your neons) when they get bigger tho. the third will get bullied to death most likely too.


and the 4 RTBS probably work cos its too smaller tank for any of them to claim a territory to fight over.
