ok, so remember me posting earlier last week about a woman at work who quite literally dropped two fish off at my desk? (they were two clown plecos we later determined...)

well...she decided to get rid of the clowns because they were "taking over" her 5 gallon tank.

well...today she dropped off the remainder of her stock - she "has had it" with fish tanks....apparently a 5 gallon tank is to difficult for her to master :lol:

so now I also have two cories - - And I can't figure out what they are...

one also appears to have a wound on its left side behind its fin....any suggestions as to ID and what I can do for this little guy???

Those are definatly real Julli Corydoras, not those fake wannabe Corydoras Trilineatus. Nice find! :good:

thanks for the ID :good:

any advise about the wound?

The fish pictured is C102. - Frank

P.S. Without knowing the collection point of the spotted Cory, there is no way to accurately determine its species.

thank you

they are cute little things.

it also semi-solves one problem for me....
I had adopted a single peppered corydoras a few months back from another co-worker and since then I have been searching the LFS's for the same species and could not any more peppereds. I felt horrible that he was alone but was trying to find corys of the same species for him to shoal with...

well, now I have 3 cories - a mixed shoal but I suppose for all fish involved it is better than what they had before...

I know I should't but I'm gonna have to disagree the Corys experts. C102 has totally different marks from the corys in question, plus the nose in C102 is a bit too long, picture 3 demonstrates this the best. IMO without a question, these are Julli's cory

I'm afraid you are wrong...Julli's have spots has opposed to squigglys, this is not a Julli

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but again, without knowing where the fish was collected, all you can do is surmise as to what they might be.

C102's are extremely variable. There is no doubt about the ID on that fish. Cheers. - Frank

Oh I knew I'd get absolutely slaughtered by you, mate lol!
The OPs fish has tiny spots, just like Julli Corys, not squiggles like C102

 not getting in the middle of this debate! haha - - - I will try and get some more pictures...will post in a moment

does this help??? :blink::unsure:

will try and get more pictures if this does not help - only one of the cories was in a viewable position
